Digital Dimensions and Beyond! Competitions
Digital Dimensions is pleased to announce photo competitions. There will be four competitions held annually, one in each quarter. Competitions will be announced both on the website and in DDAB monthly meetings. Entrants may submit one photo to Angie Ross for the competitions in 8x12 format, minimum 72 dpi. If more than one entry is submitted, the submission will be returned. The competitions are open to DDAB members only.
Staff of Digital Labrador have graciously agreed to professionally judge the competitions. Each entry will be given a critique, and all critiques are subject to being read to the DDAB membership during the monthly meeting.
All competitions will have a first place prize of a $50 gift certificate to Digital Labrador. If more than 10 entries are received for a competition, then a second place prize of a $25 gift certificate to Overland Photo will be awarded.

1st Quarter Competition
The first quarter (July 07-Sept 07) competition for Digital Dimensions is an open subject competition. At the September 20th meeting, a theme was drawn from a hat full of topics. The theme for this competition is "Lost". The deadline is midnight Sunday September 23rd. All entries should be emailed to Angie Ross at ang4747@hotmail.com.
This is the first competition to be included in the Photographer of the Year competition. Each entry in the competition will receive one point toward becoming Photographer of the Year. First place will receive five points, second place 4 points, and third place 3 points. The points will be tallied through June 2008 and the member with the most points will be announced the Photographer of the Year.
Rules of Competition
Only one photograph may be submitted for the competition. If you submit more than one photograph, your entry will be returned to you for you to select one. You must be a member of Digital Dimensions to participate. No watermarks or copyrights are allowed on the photos as all photos are judged anonymously by Digital Labrador staff. No entries will be accepted past the deadline.
Flint Hills Rodeo Competition
The 2007 second quarter DDAB competition will be for the Flint Hills Rodeo field trip on Saturday June 2nd and Sunday June 3rd.
Photographs entered must have been taken at the Flint Hills Rodeo; entries taken outside of the rodeo (including the mid afternoon trip to Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve on Saturday) will not be considered eligible. All entries are due no later than Sunday, June 10th at midnight. Winners will be announced at the June 21st DDAB meeting. Good luck!
Flint Hills Rodeo Trip Details
Sunday June 3rd. We will leave no later than 9:30a from the back of the Costco parking lot off of 95th Street and I-35 (off of Marshall Road, turn left in the first entrance into Costco, we will meet at the back of that entrance). We should arrive at the Flint Hills Rodeo at approximately 11:30a. The rodeo starts at 2pm this will give photographers a chance to do some candid photography before the rodeo starts. General admission tickets are $9 at the gate. Please email Angie Ross to sign up for this unforgettable field trip.
